Phase 2: Construction (1)
The north end of the house, before construction has started. The large conifer and ash tree is still there.
Construction has started. The ash has been moved and the conifer removed.
The trenches for the foundation have been dug, and the dirt is leveled in the center.
The forms for the foundation are being built.
Concrete has been poured into the forms and we wait for it to cure.
The forms around the cured foundation is removed.
Removal of the siding on the north wall has started.
The old gas meter needs to move. The pipe where the new meter will be connected is visible in the west wall.
The new gasmeter in place.
The floor joists and flooring is ready.
The walls are raised.
The framed outer walls in place.
The outer walls are enclosed.
The roof is added.
Shingles are placed on the roof and the outside walls are protected with a weather guard.
Siding is done and gutters are attached. Trim is painted.
The deck is being added.
